Are you ready to make a meaningful impact while advancing your engineering skills? 

Since 2015, UNSW Sydney and Engineering World Health have collaborated to support hospitals and clinics in low-resource communities. Take part in the 2024 UNSW Engineering World Health Summer Institute and travel to Nepal to collaborate with local students and hospital staff, repair critical medical equipment and transform lives in low-resource communities. The Summer Institute counts towards your industrial training requirements. 

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to students from all Engineering disciplines. 

When is the program?

  • Technical training course: 10 December 2023 - 6 January 2024
  • Hospital placements: 7 January 2024 - 10 February 2024

Is funding available?

Yes! New Colombo Plan grants of up to $3,000 per student may be available for eligible students. OS-HELP loans may also be available to domestic students. Eligibility criteria applies.
