Where you can study

You can choose from a wide range of international study experiences around the world and through prestigious networks such as Universitas 21, PLuS Alliance, APRU and Global E3.  Search our Exchange Partners to see where you can study on exchange and subscribe to our Learning Abroad notices to see who is offering short programs and virtual opportunities. 

Many of our partners teach courses in English so you aren't limited to English speaking destinations.

 

Programs you can do

See what learning abroad programs we offer. Who knows you could do a virtual short course and an in-person Exchange.  They offer great ways to develop your career ready skills and global connections along with gaining a new student experience. 

Student exchange

Through student exchange undergraduate, honours and postgrad coursework students can study with an partner university and gain credit towards their UNSW degree. 

  • 1, 2 or 3 terms and 1 year for international degrees for in-person exchange
  • 1 or 2 terms for virtual exchange with flexibility in the number of courses you can take 

Short courses and study tours

Take a summer or winter course or participate in a study tour.  Credit can be arranged subject to faculty approval. Virtual opportunities available.

  • 2 to 6 weeks

Internships, volunteering, field trips and more

Gain a headstart in your career with practical international experience to complement your studies. Virtual opportunities available.

  • 1 weeks to 6 months

Research overseas

For honours and postgrad research students to gain valuable research experience.

  • 3 to 12 months
