About the program

The Education Society Peer Mentoring Program strives to support first year education students in their transition into university and education degree, building their confidence and knowledge to navigate their new university experiences.

Mentees will be assigned into small groups with their mentors, who are experienced education students and come from diverse backgrounds and education majors. Weekly peer mentoring sessions will be facilitated in which mentees can connect with each other and are guided socially and academically by their mentors. This will be a great opportunity to make friends, participate in fun activities and have discussions held on all your burning questions on topics such as uni life, assignments, careers and more.

Peer Mentoring will run in conjunction with EdSoc events catered towards first year students such as our weekly online games night and assessment workshops for every first year education assessments. The program will end with an end-of-term meetup with all the other peer mentoring group.
