UNSW Health recommends all individuals aged 5 years and above strongly consider getting vaccinated. All TGA approved Covid-19 vaccines are very effective at reducing the risk of severe disease and reduce the spread of the virus.

What Vaccine is right for you?

For children aged 5 to 17 years, and all adults the recommended vaccine is Pfizer (Comirnaty). Novavax (Nuvaxovid) is available to all adults over 18. Moderna is recommended from the age of 12 up and is available from Pharmacies and some GP’s but not this clinic.

Pfizer (Comirnaty) and Novavax (Nuvaxovid) bookings are available to all patients.
Please call the Health Service 0293855425 or go online to make an appointment.

Novavax (Nuvaxovid) - What is it?

The Health Service now has supplies of Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, also known as Nuvaxovid.

It has been provisionally approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for use in a primary course of vaccination in people aged 18 years and older.

Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is a spike protein-based vaccine. Each dose contains the  SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and  Matrix-M as an adjuvant. Novavax COVID-19 vaccine has been demonstrated to be highly effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 in adults in a primary schedule, based on phase II-III clinical trials involving over 45,000 participants.

Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is not currently registered by the TGA for use as a COVID-19 booster vaccine. You can learn more about Novavax via the button below.

The Health Service is currently offering Pfizer (Comirnaty) as a booster dose.
Please call the Health Service for an appointment or book online as soon as possible as supplies are limited.
