    From ABC Education Learn English. Check out the ‘Life Chat’ and ‘Everyday English’ series.

  • Collins Dictionary
    Includes video pronunciation for many words.

  • Microsoft Speaker Coach
    You can rehearse for your PowerPoint presentations using the Speaker Coach function. It will give you tips on pace, pitch, language and more. 


  • Academic Writing Workshop
    Moodle course open to all UNSW students. It includes self-study modules related to academic writing at UNSW.
  • UNSW Writing Skills Support page
    Includes guides to essay and assignment writing, grammar and style, as well as links to other academic writing resources.​

  • Feedback Hub
    Receive feedback on your writing from a Smarthinking tutor.​


  • Effective reading and note-taking
    Includes strategies for effective reading, note-taking and selecting information for your assignments.

  • Blitz
    UNSW students’ guide to what’s on around campus, plus pop-culture and current affairs. Read, listen or watch online, or pick up a print copy of the magazine on campus.

  • Tharunka
    UNSW’s independent student magazine. Read articles online, or pick up a print copy from campus. You can also contribute your own writing to Tharunka.

  • UNSW News
    Read about the latest UNSW research and events, as well as opinion pieces from UNSW academics.

  • The Conversation
