Getting Help with Academic Standing

Your academic standing is simply a way that we monitor your progress at the end of each term or semester, based on units of credit attempted and passed. It exists to help us help you.

You can find out more about academic standing, and what each level means, here. The information below is focused on your next steps, and the assistance available.

Click on your Undergraduate or Postgraduate academic standing level below for advice on what to do next. Don't know your academic standing level? Check it on myUNSW.

With this in mind, UNSW has a wide range of supports available to you. You can find a selection of these at the link below.

Academic advisors can help you to identify the factors that are impacting you and discuss which of these options might be suitable. They can also discuss any issues you have had in trying to access services at UNSW previously.

If you have not been advised or recommended to see an academic advisor based on your academic standing level, but you would like help navigating and accessing appropriate supports, you may like to make an appointment with a Student Support Advisor.
