There are two spots available for UNSW Law & Justice students (JD or LLB) to participate in the New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program!

Founded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, the 2024 program focuses on sustainability.

About the Program

This program will run from September 2024 to January 2025 and will offer the following stipends:

  • NTD 10,000 monthly stipend
  • Round-trip economy class flight ticket (up to NTD 25,000)
  • On-campus housing
  • Free Mandarin courses and credited sustainability-related courses
  • Free cultural activities

For participation in this program, you can claim up to 12 UOC of elective courses. You must be eligible to take elective courses by the end of T2 2024.

Application Process

If you are interested, please submit, by May 20th:

  • A copy of your transcript/marks;
  • An updated CV;
  • A 500-word statement of why you want to take part of this opportunity, how you think it will impact your future career plans, and, if applicable and you would like to share, any equity, diversity, and inclusion considerations you think are relevant.
