Do you want to find out how information that determines what we look like and how we function is stored in our DNA, and how we inherit this from our parents? 

Enrol in Genetics and Society (GENS1112/BABS1112) for Term 2 to be introduced to the exciting world of genetics and genomics. Topics will include personalised medicine, gene editing, genetically modified foods, genetics in sports, nutritional genomics, ancestry analysis, forensic genetics and synthetic biology. You will also explore and critically evaluate the ethical, legal and social implications of these genetic advances.

Genetics and Society is a fully online course that can be taken as a general education course (GENS1112) or a free elective course (BABS1112).
