The School of Health Sciences is looking for Student Representatives to join the new School Board Committee.

What is the School Board Committee?

The School Board Committee is the highest governance instrument of the School and is chaired by Head of School, Professor Eleanor Beck. The University requires at least three students sit on the board and provide input on decisions that affect the student community. The board will meet at least twice throughout the rest of 2023 and the representatives will be asked to provide a short report to summarise agenda items.

What does a Student Representative do?

As a Student Representative, you'll share the achievements and positive experiences of your peers with the School, raise challenges faced by your cohort and offer suggestions for improvement or training requirements.

We anticipate that Student Representatives will remain in their roles until the end of the year. Following this, the board composition will be reviewed, though we will continue to require student representation.

Students enrolled in the following programs are eligible:

  • Bachelor of Exercise Physiology
  • Bachelor of Applied Exercise Science
  • Bachelor of Exercise Science
  • Bachelor of Nutrition
