
A new course is available from the School of Art & Design. Generative AI for Artists (DART2252) runs in Term 3 and is a dedicated elective introducing creative methods using AI while at the same time critically examining the rise of AI in creative industries.
Learn to:
- Develop a creative practice with AI in any of a range of creative domains (text, image, sound, video, 3D), through a range of widely used tools.
- Manipulate and blend creative AI tools.
- Explore critical and conceptual perspectives on the use of AI in creative arts.
- Discuss historical and current cultures of creative AI use.
- Understand the underlying technology and how it is likely to evolve.
- Understand copyright and moral rights in contemporary AI policy debates.
- Understand issues in data, computation and energy usage.
