UNSW Engineering Society Peer Mentoring Program

Large Group of student's in purple chairs holding a ENGSOC banner

The UNSW Engineering Society Peer Mentoring Program aims to smoothen the first year students’ transition from high school to university by providing a friendly and supportive network where students can build lasting friendships and memories whilst exploring social and professional opportunities that UNSW has to offer for engineering students.

First year undergraduate engineering students will be put into a group with 8 - 12 other mentees and 2 experienced mentors. Students will have the opportunity to participate in weekly mentor-run group bonding sessions as well as events facilitated by the UNSW Engineering Society to network with those outside of their peer mentoring group and even gain further tips and advice from experienced students outside of the program.

We strongly encourage all new undergraduate engineering students to participate in the program as it is a great opportunity to make new friends and develop a support network which will become a valuable asset for the remainder of your university experience and future career.
