Use these instructions when you want to add photographs, diagrams, graphic material or videos to forum posts, blog posts or other contributions you make within your Moodle course. Graphics can illustrate the point you're making, sometimes more economically than can text.
Acceptable image file types are JPG, GIF and PNG.
Acceptable video file types include AVI and MP4.
Don't go overboard with graphics and videos in your posts. Some users have poor Internet connections, and lots of graphics videos may make it time consuming for them to load course pages.

- Drag and drop the file into the window.
- Choose the proper Copyright setting for the image.
- Click the Save button.
- The file will now be uploaded to theBox (Beta).
- Enter a description for the image and click the Insert button.
- The image file will now be uploaded. Please ensure you finish completing the activity you were working on.

Copy images between text editors
A word of caution
Do you want the same image to display in two places in your Moodle course? If so, you cannot reproduce it by copying the image's URL from the HTML source code and paste it into a second text editor. That URL is for a temporary file that exists for a single instance of the text editor. The link will break if you cut and paste it into a second text editor.
Instead, create a second copy by inserting the image from scratch in the second location. See the instructions earlier on this page.
