Dr. May Tan

BMED (NEWC), DCH (USYD), DRANZCOG, EA DTMH
May graduated in 2010 from the University of Newcastle and completed her postgraduate training at Prince of Wales Hospital.

She has a special interest in women’s and child health, family planning and travel medicine. She underwent further training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital and holds a Diploma in both Child Health (USyd) and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG).

May also has an interest in tropical medicine and completed a diploma in East Africa in 2014, through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

She is accredited to do Mirena and Copper IUD insertion, and Implanon insertion/removal. May is also fully competent in procedural work including minor wound repairs, lesion and cyst excisions and has done further training in skin cancer diagnosis, including a Fellowship of Skin Cancer Medicine at the Integrated Specialist Healthcare Centre (ISHC) in Miranda.
