Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring is the core of the Start@UNSW program. You will be matched with a Senior Mentor from your faculty, have the opportunity to meet once a week with your mentor group, connect with your faculty peers, either in person or online and discuss any concerns you have that week.
You and your mentor group can make the sessions work for you.
What will you get out of mentoring?

- Increase your awareness of the support systems at UNSW should you ever need them
- Get a handle on UNSW and uni life in a friendly and fun environment
- Always have a someone on hand who has been in your shoes to answer any of your questions

- Can’t make it to HeadStart? No worries—your Peer Mentor will still reach out during O-Week and invite you to your first session in Week 1!
