How to create Anchor links

Anchor links are a handy means of creating links to sections within a page (example anchor link). Here you can find instructions, on how to create anchor links:

1. First you need to set up the destination link. Click your mouse cursor where you want the anchor link to "land" once a link is clicked, and then click the 'Insert/Edit Anchor' button (screenshot example below).

2. A text editor will then open. Enter a label (for example: hero) and click 'Insert' (screenshot example below).

3. Now go to the location where you want the new link (the link to the anchor) to be placed. Enter the link label (for example 'hero link here'). Then select the text and click the 'Insert/Edit Link' button. Now enter the URL (for example, either: #hero OR https://student.unsw.edu.au/instructions/anchor-link#hero ). Then click 'Insert'.

4. Save/publish the page, and test the link.

Why are the pop-up windows only partially displayed?

If you are only seeing part of a window (example screenshot below), this is because your web browser is not set to a screen resolution of 100%. You can adjust this by changing the "zoom" setting in your web browser to 100%.
