Alana graduated as a Mental Health Nurse from University College Dublin, Ireland.
After graduating, Alana gained experience working with adults with a wide variety of mental illnesses in an acute mental health unit. Since moving to Australia, Alana has worked with adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties for Justice Health and adults requiring mental health treatment in rural Australia.
Alana joined the UNSW Health Service team in 2023. She prides herself in ensuring that she is approachable and that students feel comfortable, supported, and listened to.
Following seeing your GP, you may be referred to Alana for short-term care. Alana may complete a further mental health assessment to collaboratively work with your GP to determine the best treatment pathway for you, offer further mental health support or act as your care coordinator.
Her personal interests include keeping active by swimming, running and recently took up golf!
