Airport Pickup Service

A free airport pickup service is offered to newly commencing and returning international students. Students will be transported in shuttle buses where possible, and in other cases by sedan. Pickup service is available from both International and Domestic terminals and you can be dropped off at UNSW campus or at agreed accommodation providers.

Common stops for you to select as drop-off address are as follows:

UNSW Gate 2, High Street
UNSW Gate 14, Barker Street

Scape Darling House & Scape Darling Square

Latest arrival date: 30 September 2022
Hours of Shuttle Operation: 6:00am to 11.00pm

Baggage allowance: maximum 2 pieces of luggage. If you will have additional/oversize luggage you cannot access the free shuttle service and would need to make a separate booking directly with the provider at your own expense. Please note that there are no porters available to carry bags.

When your booking is complete you will be sent a confirmation email providing further information, including details of where to meet the shuttle transfer service.

You do not need to contact the shuttle provider on arrival, please follow directions to the meeting point.

If you require assistance at the airport you can visit the International Student Airport Welcome Desk located in the International Arrivals Hall. The International Student Welcome Desk at Sydney Airport currently operates Mon-Fri from 7:30am to 1pm.

  • Bookings are essential: https://www.student.unsw.edu.au/airport/form
  • Student ID number is necessary to make a reservation (this is your zID, DO NOT provide a UNSW Global ID).
  • Flight number, arrival date and time are necessary to make a reservation.

Bookings in the portal will show a base fare/owing amount of $18, students will not be charged and/or required to provide payment details.

Any changes/cancellations need to be confirmed 48 hours prior to arrival directly with the shuttle transfer service provider.
