The Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) University Challenge is an annual challenge held by the RTSA with the aim of introducing students to the rail industry. This year the University Challenge is a national event focused on the future of the rail industry, where students currently studying engineering form teams and compete against each other, presenting a solution to a rail topic which will be disclosed on event commencement.
The Challenge provides an opportunity to:
• Learn more about the rail industry
• Learn about roles and careers in rail
• Promote yourself to industry and employers.
• Meet and connect with people working in rail, including industry leaders.
In NSW, the Challenge is being held over 3 Wednesday nights in September (11th, 18th and 25th). The venue of the 3 nights will differ and as follows:
• Session 1 (11/9): Arup office (Level 5/151 Clarence St Sydney NSW 2000)
• Session 2 (18/9): TBC
• Session 3 (25/9): Engineers Australia Sydney Office (Mezzanine Level, 44 Market Sydney NSW 2000)
Teams will be made up of up to four students with one captain (minimum 3 students per team). All team members must be able to attend three sessions over 3 evenings in September in person.
