ADA Peer Mentoring Opportunity

Published:

Why volunteer to be a Mentor?

  • Enhance your connection to the school by getting to know peers and academics.
  • Enhance personal and professional skills as a team leader and community builder.
  • Consult with the First Year Student Experience Coordinator as you develop a career-readiness plan from the workplace capacities you demonstrate.
  • Cultivate your social life on campus in regular and intimate get-togethers, pizza provided!
  • Add to your resumĂ© with a paid opportunity streamlined with your study commitments on campus. (Please note: for accessibility, one to two mentoring groups will be hosted online for students living 1.5 hours or more away by public transport).

How much time will being a Mentor take?

  • Two hours of training time in early September
  • Four peer mentoring sessions of 1.5 hours each, spaced out across the trimester
  • Two 1-hour mentors’ sessions with the program lead (the First Year Student Experience Coordinator)
  • One celebratory get together near the end of term!

We strongly encourage International students to join and support first year learners who have recently arrived from overseas.

Register your interest by 5pm Wednesday 18 September
