KGU Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Study Program and Winter School Japan Studies Program

Highlights

Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) will launch an online versions of their two short-term programs "Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Study Program" and "Winter School 2022 Japan Studies Program" in January- February 2022.

This is a three-week program, offering two different levels for Japanese language classes, elementary and intermediate. All sessions will be delivered in live stream interactive format and to maximize the opportunities for participants to communicate with native Japanese speakers, KGU school volunteers will participate as "Nihongo Partner" in classes and work together to accomplish tasks and projects. The program will not only focus on language studies. In addition to the regular language classes, students will also be able to participate in Japanese Culture study.

For the Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Study, one of the lectures of Japanese Culture Class will be held with interactive with Zen temple, Kyoto Daitokuji-Temple. Students will experience Zen and meditation while taking an online tour of Daitokuji Temple, which has beautiful gardens. Included in the program fee for the Online Japanese Studies Program for the Winter 2022 is a Matcha-kit (a tea whisk and 10 Matcha powder packs) ready to be sent to the program participants for real experience of tea ceremony. KGU have selected one of the finest tea company in Kyoto, Ippodo, to bring the participants real flavor and aroma of Japan.
