We all remember that initial first-year struggle at university. We were confused about the difference between seminars and tutorials, didn't know how to read a handbook, and were unsure where to go or who to talk to. For a lot of us, those few weeks were a challenging time...
But now as seasoned university pros, WE WANT YOU and your experience to help guide the new generation of first-year Medical Science students joining in 2022!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼?
Throughout Term 1, along with your co-mentor, you will have the responsibility of teaching incoming first-years the tips and tricks you wish you knew during your first year. From navigating the course handbook, joining student societies, vital UNSW support services or your favourite campus restaurants, you can share the ins and outs of creating an exciting UNSW experience. We're looking for empathetic and kind volunteers to help improve student experience for Medical Science Students!
Never mentored before? Have no fear! You will be provided with the required training and support to successfully mentor in this program.
