Learn To Swim with UNSW

20 Sep, 2:30pm – 9 Nov 2022, 7:00pm
UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre Gate 2 B5, High St, Kensington NSW 2052, Australia

Want to feel more confident in the water this summer?

Water and beach culture are part of the Australian experience, but what if you didn’t grow up here, and/or didn’t have the opportunity to learn these skills, does that preclude you from getting involved – NOT AT ALL!

UNSW Health Promotion Unit in partnership with Medibank, the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre, and Coogee Surf Life Saving Club have designed a water and beach safety program to keep you safe and teach you some basic water skills.

This program includes 8 x 1-hour sessions with a qualified instructor to work on your swimming skills and water safety. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to stay safe at the beach, meet new friends and learn life skills that will improve your well-being.
