Opening Up: Mental Health in a Post-Pandemic World

17 Nov 2021, 11:30am - 12:30pm

We are observing one of the most significant mental health challenges in history. In addition to the pandemic, lives have been disrupted by the loss of jobs and income, repeated lockdowns, missing out on important rites of passage and separation from family and friends.

This event will explore how the pandemic has changed the way we talk about mental health and wellbeing, and what lessons or changes we might see in a post-pandemic world.

Dean of UNSW Science, Professor Emma Johnston AO, will host a panel of experts to discuss current research on what implications the pandemic has had on society, our understanding of mental health, and how this might shape how we live, work, and connect with each other in the future.
