To mark Mental Health Month at UNSW, we are pleased to offer a free MHFA course for UNSW students.
What is Mental Health First Aid?
Just like physical first aid courses train members of the public to provide basic first aid to someone with a physical health condition, MHFA teaches skills to help someone experiencing a mental health problem.
The Blended Online MHFA Tertiary Course is designed for university students to support fellow students.
The training has two components
- Self-paced eLearning course over 5-6 hours
- 2 x 2.5 hour webinars (Delivered by UNSW)
When and where?
The eLearning is self-paced and must be complete no later than one week before the first webinar.
The webinars will be delivered via zoom from 2pm to 5pm on 16th & 17th November.
You must be available to attend both sessions in full.
Who can attend?
Current UNSW Students.
Please note that demand is high for this course and spaces are strictly limited. If you miss out please complete our Expression of Interest form (https://forms.office.com/r/QeF6GY00sJ) to be contacted first when upcoming courses become available.
