ASPIRE is UNSW’s flagship outreach program, delivered by Access and Equity (Students). It is founded on the belief that all students can succeed at university.
We encourage and enable students from low socio-economic backgrounds and rural, regional and remote areas to consider, apply for, and successfully participate in tertiary education.
We are looking for current UNSW students to work with us as ASPIRE Ambassadors supporting our outreach program to high school students. This is a great opportunity to be part of a student program that seeks to give back and share the benefits of a university education.
- Provide unique support and encouragement to high school students to build their confidence in their own academic abilities
- Assist at in-school and on-campus workshops and events with our schools across Sydney and regional NSW
- Organise activities, discuss scholarships, subject selection and how to apply for university, answer questions and share personal narratives of their own high school experience and journey to university
How to get involved
If you’d like to become an ASPIRE Ambassador you need to apply by completing this online application form.
Applications close 28 February 2020.
If your application is successful you will be invited to participate in a group interview. Successful applicants will then be required to complete a 30 minute online induction and attend an Ambassador training session on campus.
