Oceanic and Atmospheric Systems Integrated Society

We are UNSW OASIS (Oceanic and Atmospheric Systems Integrated Society) a new student society for all degrees and interests relating to the oceans and atmosphere. This includes topics such as climate science, paleoclimatology, oceanography, atmospheric science, and marine biology/ecology.

At UNSW, degrees and majors relating to these topics are spread across different schools and faculties. OASIS aims to connect all relevant students to form an interdisciplinary community and provide them with volunteering, internships and research opportunities inside and outside of UNSW. We also aim to:

- Increase dialogue between students and UNSW staff/researchers/institutions
- Promote relevant majors and degrees to new students,
- Spread awareness and news about relevant science through social media and advertising
- Encourage individual action and spread information about personal and social sustainability practices

Throughout the year we are planning a host of events (careers nights, PhD/researcher talks and study sessions) to engage and connect students.
