Kudos Shop is designed to offer students their first opportunity to sell their work online via an online store.
Students will be introduced and gain experience in what it means to operate a small business as an emerging artist, designer, writer or curator. Kudos Shop will host and sell the work of up to 5 emerging makers on a rotating bi-monthly basis (8 weeks). Each student will be mentored through, and required to undertake, marketing, administration, and e-commerce practices associated with running a small business as an emerging artist or designer. Students will be selected via an open call process.
Applications will be selected from a mixture of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students based on applications received in each round. Students are required to submit a proposal that outlines a brief bio, artist / designer mission statement, CV, list of times to be made available for sale and a portfolio of work in progress or examples of previous work indicative of their proposed idea. Students may apply as a visual artist, designer, curator or writer. Students may apply as an individual or as a collective.
